Doug is a Partner with the The CEO Project.

He has managed diverse organizations in public and private environments and enhanced the performance of each organization. This has been achieved by identifying and focusing on the key factors that drive growth and profitability. He brings 30 years of experience and results in improving business models, sales, marketing, delivery and operations.

Doug started his career with IBM and rapidly progressed by managing system development and business development organizations. Doug founded an information technology company earning the Washington Technology Fast 50 Award for three consecutive years. The company was recognized as the IT Business of the Year and Quality Supplier of the Year. The company was positioned and sold as a strategic acquisition. Doug moved to a leadership position with PSINet and grew revenue from $30M to $500M, increased profitability and established a team of 1800 sales and consulting personnel.

Doug is active in the business and technology community. He was a founding member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, Chairman of the Board of a venture funded technology company, Chairman of the Board of a Hospital Foundation as well as on Advisory Boards.

Doug received a BA in Physics and MA in Mathematics from Pepperdine University and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas. He is a graduate of the Executive Program, Darden Business School at the University of Virginia. He resides in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and two dogs. He is an avid golfer and a voracious reader.
